Why rent a Soulmask server with us?
Tribe & NPC companions
Recruit NPCs as maskholders and direct them to gather, build and fight — your tribe stays productive even when nobody is actively online.
Two maps to choose from
Pick between the original map and the Shifting Sands DLC map, switchable at any time from the control panel — every player needs the DLC for the DLC map.
Steam Workshop mods
Enter comma-separated mod IDs via the MOD_ID variable — players need the same mods installed to connect.
16 GB RAM required
Soulmask is resource-intensive: below 16 GB, OOM crashes can occur while loading the world. The 20/40/60-player packages include 16/24/32 GB RAM.

Frequently asked questions
How much RAM does a Soulmask server need?
Soulmask requires at least 16 GB RAM. Packages include 16 GB for 20 players, 24 GB for 40 players and 32 GB for 60 players; old worlds or many mods benefit from a larger package.
Which map can I choose?
Soulmask offers two maps: Level01_Main (original map) and DLC_Level01_Main (DLC map Shifting Sands — every fellow player must own the DLC, otherwise they can't join). The map is set at startup via the MAP_NAME variable and can be changed at any time in the control panel.
How many players can join a Soulmask server?
We offer packages for 20, 40 and 60 players. MAX_PLAYERS enforces the purchased limit, backed by 16, 24 or 32 GB RAM respectively.
How do mods work in Soulmask?
Soulmask mods are loaded via the MOD_ID variable. You provide a comma-separated list of mod IDs — all connecting players must have the same mods installed. Mods are available on the Steam Workshop.
How do I get started after ordering?
Typical initial setup: about 4 minutes. Queues or large installations can take longer. Set map name, max players, and admin password in the control panel. Players connect via IP:port — tribe NPCs can be recruited immediately after startup.
What makes the mask-bearer mechanic special in Soulmask?
The mask-bearer mechanic is the heart of Soulmask: as a mask-bearer you directly control NPCs and assign them tasks like gathering, building, crafting, and combat. A well-organised tribe with NPCs turns your dedicated server into a highly productive survival community that keeps running even when no human players are actively online — ideal for shared progress in larger groups.
Is Soulmask available for Xbox, PS5, or PS4 — can I rent a console server?
Not currently: since the 1.0 release in April 2026, Soulmask has been available exclusively for PC (Steam & Epic Games Store). There is no Xbox, PS5, or PS4 version yet, and developer CampFire Studio has not given an official console release date (as of August 2026). Our Soulmask server is the dedicated PC version — we can only offer an Xbox server once the game actually launches there.
Do I get my own subdomain?
Yes. Every server includes a subdomain like my-server.ezplayhost.com, and you can change it anytime in the dashboard.
What are the free extras?
For every server you enable Uptime Kuma (server monitoring) and Game Server Watcher (server status in Discord/Telegram) with one click in the dashboard at no extra cost, plus one bot such as Sinusbot (music bot for Discord/TeamSpeak). Every additional bot costs extra.
How quickly is my server online?
Typical initial setup: about 4 minutes. Queues or large installations can take longer. Setup creates the subdomain and DNS records automatically, and for Minecraft also accepts the EULA and installs Geyser.
Is there a minimum contract term?
There is no long-term minimum. Billing is a monthly subscription and automatic renewal can be disabled. Longer terms may qualify for discounts.
Are the servers located in Germany?
You choose the location at checkout: Germany (Falkenstein and Limburg) or France (Roubaix) — all in the EU, connected to the major European exchanges. Low pings for players across Germany, Austria and Switzerland at both locations, and solid latency for the rest of Europe.
Which provider is best for my server?
The best provider is the one that shows you what you get before you pay: RAM, slots, location, price and cancellation terms. Here the price and resources are visible in the configurator before checkout, there is no minimum term and setup is automated — feel free to compare that with other offers. Soulmask starts here at 18.34 EUR per month, and setup typically takes about 4 minutes.
Should I host the server myself or rent one?
Self-hosting costs power, time and a machine that runs around the clock; port forwarding, updates and backups are on you. A rented server is online within minutes, keeps running when your PC is off, and updates and backups are included; data-center DDoS protection is included at every location. For one or two friends on a single evening self-hosting is often fine — for a persistent world, renting pays off.
Can I increase or decrease the RAM later?
Yes, you can do it yourself in the customer area using a slider. An upgrade takes effect immediately: you only pay the prorated difference for the remaining term, and the new price applies from the next renewal. A downgrade takes effect on the next renewal date. Your world, settings and subdomain are kept, and depending on the game, a restart is required afterwards. With monthly payment and a minimum term, the change is only possible once that term has ended, and for games with a slot-based plan it is not available.
